CYW YOUTH with MILLENNIUM KIDS
Youth the world over are concerned about climate change, sustainability and their future. It's time we heard them.
At the City of Canning we are keen to hear from our young people about the most important social and environmental issues occupying their minds. So, we're working with Millennium Kids to give youth an opportunity to communicate their unique perspectives and co-create innovative solutions and help them to make the positive impact they want to make in their community.

WHAT CAN OUR YOUTH DELEGATES EXPECT FROM THE EVENT?
Millennium Kids will work with local young people to co facilitate a Changing Your World Conference in the City of Canning. Building on ongoing conversations with young people in the City of Canning, delegates will have the opportunity to explore the big issues, hear from experts in the field, take part in workshops and co-design local solutions to local problems, creating a plan for a clean, green future. This is a wonderful opportunity for young people to help shape the future of Canning.
Be part of the change. Email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
All MK staff are trained facilitators, have Working with Children Checks and Proof of Vaccination.
The City of Canning Changing Your World Youth Conference will bring together 100+ young people from across the City to have a say about the things they care about, and share their concerns and their vision.
The program will use a “Skills for Life” process, with young people identifying their most pressing challenges and co-designing real-world solutions that can be implemented to make positive change.
Facilitated by Millennium Kids, young people will design a One Thousand Actions for the Planet project and present their change making ideas to the Changing Your World Conference delegates and key City decision-makers.
And... with ongoing support from the City of Canning, and Millennium Kids, a number of projects will be chosen to work with the City to implement their amazing projects - helping us all to own our impacts.
